Live-Sawn Urban Ash Flooring & Veneer for LinkedIn’s Omaha Campus
Urban Evolutions supplied live-sawn urban ash flooring and veneer from reclaimed trees to support a dynamic, natural aesthetic at LinkedIn Omaha.
Just as we did for the first phase of this project, our product development team tapped into our urban wood program, which finds a second life for felled trees collected by municipalities, to supply materials for an office expansion in LinkedIn’s Omaha office.
Designed by Gensler, the new LinkedIn Omaha office uses their design strategy inspired by a future of flexible work spaces. Our modernist take on reclaimed wood seems a great fit for spaces designed for what’s next.
The material used for this project came from ash trees located in the state of Wisconsin that were taken down due to emerald ash borer. (Read more about the beauty and impact of urban wood.)
Furthermore, the environmental impact of urban wood can be summed up:
- Rescued city trees used rather than harvesting virgin wood
- Certified Red List Free
- Low VOC, water-based, and UL Greenguard gold-certified finishes throughout
- Hardwood, veneer plywood, manufactured domestically
