Engineered Ash flooring from salvaged trees in atrium of Levi’s Corporate

Gensler Architecture in San Francisco has been a champion of incorporating reclaimed wood in modern commercial environments.  We welcomed the opportunity to work with them on the new Levi’s Plaza headquarters in the Bay Area.  The atrium is a vibrant, modern space that feels rooted in Levi’s rustic material-driven vibe.

The heritage and feel of the Levi’s brand was reflected beautifully in our ash flooring, paneling, and table-tops installed throughout the atrium and amenities areas.  These ash trees, affected by the Emerald Ash Borer, are being removed by municipalities across the country and typically mulched or burned. When we salvage urban trees and keep them in lumber form, we are able to sequester the carbon they have stored for the life of the new project.
