The space is floored with our Racine Factory Maple Flooring, salvaged from the J.I. Case tractor factory in Racine, Wisconsin, and installed in a herringbone pattern throughout the retail space. The material's color variation is preserved, along with rustic overtones from cart tracks, boot patterns, and mineral stains — a visual record of the flooring's industrial past that feels right at home in this pet-centric environment.
The maple was reclaimed as part of a larger deconstruction effort at the former J.I. Case Plow Works factory, a four-story structure built in 1901.
Urban Evolutions also manufactured display tables using the same factory maple material paired with reclaimed white oak salvaged from barn beams.
