This week we ran across a few news stories about wood walls making a modern statement. While this may be trending now, Urban Evolutions has been using reclaimed cladding for years on projects ranging from new home construction to restaurant renovations.

For our residential customers, incorporating a reclaimed wood wall in a common sitting area or in a private bedroom brings warmth into their home. It also brings a story, making it great conversation piece.

For our professional and hospitality clients, wood cladding adds a sense of scale to just about any surface. It connects a venue to nature and shows an organization’s commitment to sustainability.

One variation of wood walls we love are carved wood accent panels, which UE recently included in our trade show display. These customizable applications use reclaimed wood, are crafted in the United States and use a vector file of artwork supplied by our customers.

“Most products or services have some type of visual element connected to their brand and 3D wall panel applications are a great way to add an exclusive dimension to reclaimed wood,” said Robin Janson, president of Urban Evolutions.

Having the ability to incorporate texture or branding imagery into an architectural wood walls is a great feature item for hotel walls, reception desks or restaurant applications.
