In 1887, Superior , Wisconsin was home to the largest grain elevator in the world. The structure held an impressive five million bushels and towered 150 feet into the air. Even more extraordinary is what was created by a hundred years of small grains flowing over the interior wood surface into the large bins.
This solid Slab Coffee Table is built from sliced reclaimed elm sleeper logs. These large timbers were salvaged from turn-of-the-century barns, where they were used as floor support beams. The result is a 2.5″ thick top that features a generous live edge and a very durable imported urethane finish.
Constructed of reclaimed Douglas Fir, Redwood and Cypress , the Vertical Plank Bed features handsome woods in varied widths to create a clean look. The platform construction adds a modern feel to reclaimed materials.
This antique pine bed is special. It is quite solid with noticeable texture but is soft to the touch and will not snag any of your fine linens. It has almost a deep rich red hue in some lights.”
