Whiskey in the Walls @ Bar Agricole | San Francisco

Located in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood at 355 11 St., Bar Agricole is a LEED gold- certified contemporary tavern evoking sustainability in its design as well as its food and drinks (with emphasis on the latter).

Mix-master and proprietor Thad Vogler, along with a cadre of artistic professionals, opened the eco-modern space in August 2010, which consists of an outdoor dining patio/garden (yes, an herb garden for Vogler’s specialty concoctions) and 4,000 SF indoor dining/bar area with walls and ceiling adorned with our supplied white oak reclaimed from whiskey tanks – a perfect match for the “Chez Panisse of Cocktails”.

Urban Evolutions’ Reclaimed Materials at Anthropologie | London

Our reclaimed materials are a pivotal part of Anthropologie’s expansion across the pond. Both the King’s Road and Regent Street locations are nicely cladded with materials we reclaimed from Wisconsin and the greater midwest. Tobacco lath from Southern Wisconsin Tabacco farms is assembled into a beautiful feature wall in the Regent St. location, along with 8,500 square feet of antique white oak flooring.

Jeff and Robin stopped in during spring break with their kids in tow to check out the Kings Rd. location. Among the images shown here are: maple flooring from a Virginia textile mill, as well as 15,000 square feet of pine reclaimed from barns that adorn the ceiling. Shelving is constructed of reclaimed white oak with a natural oil finish.

We have the materials to turn your commercial or residential space into a beautiful, unique, and sustainable environment. Contact us to find out more about our reclaimed flooring, timbers, siding, barn doors and other architectural elements. [Read more...]

Pink Taco | Los Angeles

Pink Taco! Mexican cuisine and some killer margaritas.  We are quite partial to their environment as well, since we had the opportunity to contribute a few of our reclaimed stylings to their decor.

Free People Corporate Headquarters | Philadelphia, PA

Free People 5Free People spreads its bohemian wings in Building 25, the latest addition to parent company Urban Outfitters Navy Yard Campus.  On a recent visit, Jeff and Robin snapped these images of the over 45,000 square feet of reclaimed flooring that Jeff and his Urban Evolutions reclaimed materials crew contributed to the project.

Throughout the 53,000 square feet space you will find “Walked on” Heart Pine salvaged from a Virginia textile mill.  The weathered brown patina adds brown sugar warmth to work spaces and gathering spots.

Further pictures reveal the contrasting “light and pretty” tones of bleached white oak reclaimed from granaries throughout Wisconsin.  Jeff’s team salvages oak boards from the floors, walls and ceilings, taking pains to preserve the original gray patina.
