Free People spreads its bohemian wings in Building 25, the latest addition to parent company Urban Outfitters Navy Yard Campus. On a recent visit, Jeff and Robin snapped these images of the over 45,000 square feet of reclaimed flooring that Jeff and his Urban Evolutions reclaimed materials crew contributed to the project.
Throughout the 53,000 square feet space you will find “Walked on” Heart Pine salvaged from a Virginia textile mill. The weathered brown patina adds brown sugar warmth to work spaces and gathering spots.
Further pictures reveal the contrasting “light and pretty” tones of bleached white oak reclaimed from granaries throughout Wisconsin. Jeff’s team salvages oak boards from the floors, walls and ceilings, taking pains to preserve the original gray patina.
